Since 2006 Paul Rak, a business owner and “green champion” lead his company through a Green Tech transformation. VeriForm, a high precision sheet metal and plate fabrication business with 19 employees invested $46,186 in over 42 individual energy saving projects resulting in an annual reduction of operating costs by over $91,000 and projected savings of over $1.42 million over the next 10 years. The simple payback for the average energy savings project was just 6.3 months and some projects paid for themselves in less than 2 weeks. The projects resulted in the reduction of the company’s greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) by 233 tonnes per year, equivalent to more than 10,000 trees absorbing carbon dioxide annually.

In addition VeriForm has acquired over 50% of its sales from the green sector since early 2009, manufacturing solar panel frames, wind tower transport saddles and dairy sector biogas tanks. Mr. Rak even sits on the board of directors for a company that finances large green projects. “Getting into the green sectors is for us an extension of the greening of our company. Not only have we reduced our carbon footprint but we are also participating in the new green economy. “

I liked this product the best. The passive units of fixed capacitors are made of linseed oil capacitors, as opposed to PCBs, the wiring and other components are also of premium grade. Also, KVAR EC™ are designed for a 25 year life cycle.
