Course Description Leading companies realize that stakeholder and community engagement are fundamental to successfully driving sustainability in their organizations. Initially a risk management tool, engagement has emerged as a vital component to understanding what sustainability means for companies and how it can add value and viability to their operations. In this program, you will evaluate and apply an effective framework for a meaningful, value-creating stakeholder engagement process.
Learning Objectives Using examples, case studies, best practices and hands-on activities, you will:
  • Develop a draft stakeholder engagement plan for your operation by -
    o Identifying stakeholders impacting and impacted by the organization's activities.
    o Set strategic objectives for your stakeholder engagement.
    o Identify concerns and opportunities and prioritize them.
    o Analyze and create an issue & opportunity focused plan for stakeholder engagement.
    o Use a methodology for choosing the most suitable form of engagement.
    o Identify steps for undertaking the engagement, the review and reporting processes.
    o Discuss processes for synthesizing the results into organizational strategy.
